It’s been months of being in the fire. Is my time of refining done? Surely not. For in the fire is where I am exposed to the Holy Light. Light so bright I have become blinded— unable to see what the fire is doing. Until I step out of it and my eyes have renewed understanding— I see I am not the same as I was before. The Light begins to reflect off of me from the touch of its flames. Like the glow of a burning coal— the mark of the fire is on me. Bringing the Light out into the darkness. And soon I am once again put back into the flames. The Holy Light refining me further. How grateful I am for the fire— purifying me into gold.
Rejoice at being in the fire for it’s where God is at work.

I guess that’s what life does. It puts us in the fire everyday to refine us.
