To follow up on my last post… I just have to say that none of this trip would be possible without all the people in my life who have so generously poured into me, specifically financially. I would never have had the opportunity to go and serve the kids in Nsoko, Eswatini if it weren’t for you. I wouldn’t be able to answer this call God has placed on my life if I didn’t have the funds to go and do it. So thank you!

With that said, while I’m incredibly grateful for how far the Lord has brought me in fundraising, I still have a remaining need of $2,374.75. I know He’ll provide, because He already has, but I also know that the way He provides is often through His people. Through you.

Now, I’ll be really honest… This is the part of answering the call that I like the least. Asking for help. It’s not easy to ask others to give to something they aren’t personally experiencing. To invite people to be generous toward someone they may not even know very well. It’s uncomfortable. It’s humbling. But still… here I am, asking anyway. Because I’ve seen what God can do with a little. I’ve experienced the challenge of giving myself, taking money I’ve worked hard for and putting it toward this trip. I know it’s a sacrifice. And I know that sometimes it’s hard to give when you can’t yet see the impact, or maybe even wonder if your giving will make any impact at all. But here’s what I’m learning…even $5 given to the Lord is enough.

God isn’t looking for numbers. He’s looking at the heart. He’s looking for obedience and generosity in whatever measure we’re able to give. Think about the widow’s offering in Mark 12, all the rich gave large amounts from their wealth, but the poor widow gave two small copper coins, which was all that she had… “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on” (Mark 12:43b-44).

So when you give to this trip, you’re not giving to me… you’re giving to God. You’re trusting Him to use your offering to further His Kingdom. I know there are so many ways to give to the Lord, so I’m simply asking that you pray about whether this is one of them. I know He’s not calling everyone to give financially, but maybe He’s putting it on the hearts of some of you reading this now.

If that’s not you, I want you to know that it’s totally okay! I do not expect any of you to give. But those who have given, it truly touches me that you would want to help me answer this call the Lord has placed on my life. That you would help me step into this path the Lord is setting before me.

So thank you. For what you’ve already given, and for the way so many of you have covered me in prayer. Don’t ever feel like you can only make an impact financially. Your encouragement, your prayers, your support… I cling to that more than you know.

I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come in this fundraising journey, and I have this peace that truly surpasses all understanding that the Lord will continue to provide the rest.

Blessings and much love to you all!

Jaydin
